This day long workshop will focus on the impact of trauma on learning and provide trauma sensitive teaching strategies. You will learn from trauma survivors and the parents of traumatized youth about how you can help them learn.

Joel RestucciaJoel Restuccia is a Certified School Psychologist, co-author of Helping Traumatized Children Lean and an Adjunct Professor at Lesley University teaching courses in developing trauma sensitive school wide, classroom and individual interventions to support educational success. Mr. Restuccia will offer a 2-hour workshop on the TLPI Approach to meeting the needs of students with trauma history.

Young adults who experienced various forms on trauma as children share their educational experiences.

Why My Child Has Trouble With Homework

Foster/adoptive parents share why homework is hard and what strategies have worked best.
